Winter is certainly chilling my bones some days. As a Bay Area commuter, part of my journey to work every day consists of walking a couple miles in bustling downtown SF and along tranquil Lake Merritt in Oakland. The early morning breeze and evening chill makes me shiver with goosebumps.

The Only Fake to Wear: Faux Fur

I'm not a huge fan on wearing fake-anything. Although, being the big animal lover that I am, I will wear faux fur. But it has to be quality! I've seen some things on the racks...and they look like road kill. Can't do it.

Fall Trend: Oversize Me

Yes, it's that time of year again and one of my favorite fashion seasons: Fall. Fond memories of back-to-school shopping, leaves changing color, and cozy weather flood my mind. And just like that, out the boots, scarves, sweaters, layering, and coats come out from hiding.

Oversize outerwear is one of this season's top trends. An easy way to add drama to your fall and winter look, is with an oversize coat. Get lost and play around with the size, structure or lack of it. Get crazy with textures, colors, prints, and details. An oversize coat works with both day and night looks and pants and dresses-- it just depends on how ya work it honey so, get crackin'!

Gorilla Sleeved Coats

As the summer is coming to an end, my eye is on the lookout for a fabulous coat. While doing my pre-shopping research, I noticed how enormous this season's sleeves are! Not that I hate it or anything, but a slimming silhouette is not the trend here. This season, designers have added a twist to classic winter coats by adding shaggy and thick fur sleeves. Morally, I will not wear fur, but I will rock the hell out of a faux fur sleeved jacket.
