Mid-Week Motivation

Start your day off thinking happy thoughts right when you get out of bed. The slightest shift in your morning mood can have an amazing impact on the rest of your day and it all begins on what's goin' on upstairs in your head. Try it— you'll probably have an amazing day (if you allow yourself to).

Monday Motivation: Remember to Laugh

As an avid prankster, April Fools Day is one of my favorite days of the year. Most people don't think much of it and barely remember the day exists-- and this, my friends, is how the best reactions come to life.

What I like most about this random day, is that it reminds us to laugh. I'm all about creating fun and happy memories and love reminiscing about 'that one time' when I got tricked into sitting on a whoopee cushion or when my classmates pranked our teacher in drinking salty water. Memories last forever and laughing just simply makes me feel high on happiness and in a better state.

Monday Motivation: Don't Worry, Be Happy

With a lot of things on my plate this coming year, my to-do list is growing and growing by the minute. But that's totally OK. I'm down with rolling up my sleeves and getting to knee-deep in work because staying busy keeps pushing forward. This also means I've got to stay focused and upbeat. No room in my head nor time for worrying about what-if situations that aren't in my favor. Why worry about something that hasn't even happend yet? Ever heard the quote, "Thoughts become things." (Bob Proctor) Or how about this one, "Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." (Albert Einstein) Scary to think worries actually help create what may become reality. Good thing motivational sites like The Daily Motivator by Ralph Marston help me keep things in perspective. I'm loving this piece he wrote: 'Don't Worry'.

Happy Monday y'all!

Monday Motivation: Smile

The key item you should wear every day is a smile. You have a lot more to smile about than you may think. Happy Monday! Don't forget to flash your pearly whites! :)

Monday Motivation: Gratitude

Thanksgiving just passed. We all ate a week's worth of food in one day and are currently at the point of hating ourselves for doing so. We also reflected on what we are thankful for in our lives. It's tradition in my family to go around the table and express our gratitude before eating our Thanksgiving meal(s). My question is, why just reflect one day out of the year? Why not every day? Instead of complaining about the lack in our lives or complain about how things went wrong, why not cherish what's present and within our reach and celebrate things going right! Challenge yourself to sit and think of ten things that you're grateful for...right now! In fact, write it down. And do it again tomorrow, the next day and the day after that. Thank yourself into a happier you.

Happy Monday!
