Flop Top Galore
Who said you can't wear a floppy hat in fall? Reminiscent of their summer, straw cousin, these wool floppy babies add the perfect mix of drama and sophistication. I still cain't wait for it to be cold enough to pair with a long coat, tall boots with a chunky heel and dainty hoop earrings. Bad hair day or not,

Thanksgiving Weekend Looks
This year was a tad bit harder for me to leave home after Thanksgiving. Maybe it was nostalgia, maybe it was feeling like a kid in my parents' homes or maybe it was the plethora of leaves changing color that made me want to stay one more night.
While I was staying at my dad's house throughout the holiday weekend, I was amazed by how much a backyard can transform from a plot of dirt to a lush secret garden after twelve years of shoveling, running back and forth to Home Depot, planting seeds and bushes and nurturing most days of the year. Let's say I had a wee bit too much fun snapping shots of leaves, chimes and flowers.

Scarf Weather...Finally!
When I see clouds and overcast outside my window, I don't normally get excited, but today I did! This summer, the Bay Area (more specifically the East Bay) has been experiencing lots and lots of warm weather. By far, one of my longest summers ever. So I've been waiting ever so patiently for the leaves to start changing color, cool breezes and some overcast to come around. You know, cozy weather.
Today is the day I've been waiting for! So what did I do, grab the biggest scarf and the tallest boots I own!

Fall: Put a Lid on It
Thanks to Indian Summers, summer weather pretty much started this month for the Bay Area and I've been DYING to wear my new fall clothes and accessories. The main accessory that I can't wait to wear out are my new fall hats. Being that I have an abnormally large head (big brain!), it's hard for me to find the perfect hat that perfectly fits my noggin. So when I do find one, it's love!

Seeing Spots
One of the key trends for the upcoming Fall season are playful polka dots. In a range of colors and sizes, the print is easy to match whichever look you're going for. Chic and sophisticated: small dots and neutral colors. Playful and loud: large dots and bright, bold colors. Incorporate the print anywhere! But that doesn't mean everything. Polka dots follow the same rule as leopard print for me: one to two pieces max! When incorporating two pieces, one should be dominant (dress, top or bottom) and one teeny, weeny accessory. Too much of the same print can go wrong in so many ways so, make sure that second piece counts.
